On Saturday we had 41 racers take to the start line – from national team members to first season skiers everyone went out and suffered with dignity and joy.
Conditions were not ideal. Icy near the top, and that log on the skin track (if you know, you know)… But! I think I can say that we all had some fun, and put some bricks into the foundation of a Skimo-ing community here in the Bow Valley.
Anyway, the organizing crew are beyond grateful for everyone that showed up. It’s been almost 2 years since we last put together a Citizen Series race, and stepping back in to roles as race organizers has put huge smiles onto our faces. Meeting new people, seeing old friends and watching everyone go out and get after it, gets us fired up. We look forward to doing it all again in the near future.

The next Citizen Series race will be on February 5th 2022, again at Norquay, but with a different course for you to enjoy. We will pass on the details for signup shortly.
